Official serious business matter.

I decided to post this as a Blog. No idea why.
A caring Follower alerted me that a local UK Organisation was using the brand name 'Neurodiversity University' on their Business page.
I beamed in making contact, asking politely what their plans were with the branding.
We've ping ponged back and forth, politely wrangling the official situation and legality of Trademarks and Copywriting.
Obviously I don't own the worldwide rights to my Page Name except in my giddy excited early years as a blogger, I actually thought I did. Except that I'm Adhd and it's such a bl##dy Adhd thing to do i.e. buy a £200 Trademark/copyright and somehow buy the wrong thing. Just call me Half Job Jilly.
And so I come here today to announce that after much calm debate, this organisation has refused my sweet gentle request that they not use the same name as me.
They aren't doing anything illegal, but as we know, legal and ethical are different things.
Ethics was my special interest at Uni. Oh I loved discussing Ethical debates about Counselling things that were wrong but ethical and things that were right but unethical. Honestly, I'm excited just thinking about it. How did I not know I was Autistic ffs.
Back to my Page name.
My naive big heart really hoped my polite request would be honoured. I really did hope for that. And then we all go skipping into the Sunset happy and full of heart. Alas no.
No one has died. Life goes on. It's not the end of the world. But in case anyone gets confused, please check with me should you see any new offerings from Neurodiversity University (on mugs and t shirts or keyrings etc) thinking I've gone up in the World.
I have not.
The other Neurodiversity University use, is nothing to do with me.
I'm still just a UK Oxfordshire foul mouthed Therapist, big heart and bum, sprouting profanities, trying my best to heal and educate ND folk.
Below is my official last response to the Organisation I asked kindly to back the f#ck off.
No hard feelings, just frustration.
"Dear 'x'
I wanted to reply to acknowledge your email.
I want to formally appeal your request however I will not be doing so.
I work full time and as an Audhd Counsellor with a full caseload, a family, elderly parents, and grandchildren, I have absolutely no energy to challenge your application.
My energy is better used writing my blog and providing psychoeducation rather than challenging anything formally. I'm too menopausal, old, and shattered to fight. Life is short, there's better things to be doing.
Whilst I understand the legality around your use of my Page name, I do not agree that you need to use the same name that I use and have used for 4 years. Totally unnecessary. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Such a shame.
My experience within the wonderful Neurodivergent Community is one of Belonging and Connection and as such, your decision seems misalligned.
I'll continue however to be proud of all that is still very good with other organisations.
I will be making a formal factual statement on my page to clarify that I have no connection to your endeavour. This will reduce/avoid any possible confusion.
I wish all the best for your Clients.
Regards,
Jill".
End of formal notice that I'm this NeuroDiversity University and not the other NeuroDiversity University (used within a bigger organisation).
